Silicone will weigh the hair down, making it limp, with time, very dull. It prevents moisture from penetrating the hair shaft, leaving it vulnerable to dirt and others. Silicone does not allow in the conditioner and it ends up sitting on the surface. Due to lack of moisture, the hair will become very brittle and could lead to frizz and breakage.
According to several studies, parabens have been proven to cause damage to the hair and scalp and can also cause loss of hair color and even hair loss. In addition, results corroborated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in a research study found that parabens were quite easily absorbed through your skin and scalp. The longer the cuticle is lifted, the more it weakens. The damage is not irreversible despite rinsing hair afterwards.
